Khumujam Yakhomba 1 Year 5 Month old boy was suffering from Congenital Heart Defect, Large Perimembranous VSD, Severe PS. He needed early TOF total correction open heart surgery to save his life. There are 6 members in the family and father is the only earning member. He works as a labour. His monthly income is Rs 10,000/-. The treatment was given in Fortis Escort Hospital, under the supervision of Dr. Neeraj Awasthy, MD, FNB Director Pediatric Cardiology. The total cost was Rs.4,00,000/- for the surgery. The family required finance assistance from Diya Medicare Foundation for Rs. 4,00,000/-. His family was not in a position to bear the expenses of his treatment. He was admitted in hospital on 4 May 2025 and discharged successfully after surgery on 12 May 2025.
