Shivam Maurya 8 year old boy was suffering from Congenital Heart Defect, Restrictive Perimembranous VSD, Dilated LA/LV. He needed early surgery of Cardiac Catherization Followed by VSD Device Closure to save his life. There are 6 members in the family and father is the only earning member. He is a security guard. His monthly income is Rs 14,000/-. The treatment was given in Fortis Escort Hospital, under the supervision of Dr. Neeraj Awasthy MD, FNB Director Pediatric Cardiology. The total cost was Rs.2, 50,000/- for the surgery. His family was not in a position to bear the expenses of his treatment.
